Kendall’s Take
“Cocktails topped with sparkling wine always feel a little unpredictable to me. I expected this one to lean heavily into ‘bourbon spritzer’ territory, for example, but it turned out far more layered than I anticipated. The maple and bourbon hold their own beautifully against the bubbly, creating something that’s both refreshing and distinctly seasonal. In the end, the Spiced Maple Bourbon Fizz is festive without being fussy—the kind of drink that makes opening a bottle of sparkling wine feel like a very good idea.”
