The Strawberry Pisco Sour is a spring cocktail that was created by Naren Young at Dante in New York City, New York. It uses the classic Pisco Sour's template of pisco, sweetener, citrus, and egg white, but this seasonal version swaps out lemon for lime juice and adds a tart strawberry syrup and light rose water, both of which complement the brandy-style spirit well.

Pisco: This is a type of brandy made in Peru or Chile with fermented grape juice. I used Capel Pisco Premium Liqueur.
Strawberry Syrup: This is a sweetener made with strawberries, white sugar, gum arabic powder, and water. I made mine using this sous vide recipe.
Lime Juice: This is the liquid juice of a lime. I used freshly squeezed lime juice.
Egg White: This is the clear liquid in an egg. WI used fresh egg whites.
Rose Water: This is a flavored water made by steeping rose petals in water. I used Cortas Premium Rose Water.
Strawberry: This a small red fruit that is soft and juicy and has yellow seeds on its skin.

Jigger: This is used to measure and pour ingredients. I used the Japanese jigger from the A Bar Above 14-Piece Silver Bar Set.
Paring Knife: This is used to cut citrus into slices or wheels. I used the OXO Good Grips 3.5 Inch Paring Knife.
Juicer: This is used to juice citrus. I used the ALEEHAI Manual Fruit Juicer.
Blender: This is used to blend up ingredients. I used the Cuisinart SPB-7CH SmartPowder Electronic Bar Blender.
Cocktail Pick: This is used to hold the garnish. I used one from the I-MART Stainless Steel Cocktail Pick Set.

Kendall’s Take: "I haven't explored the world of pisco cocktails very much yet, so I was excited to see this one pop up as a recommendation for spring. I wasn't sure that I'd love its frozen blended texture, but I think it was just right for mellowing out the tart strawberry and lime. And the rose, although slightly there in the aroma and not so much the flavor, is a romantic touch. I would add the Strawberry Pisco Sour to a spring brunch menu, for sure. It's light, fruity, and unique!"

Add pisco, strawberry syrup, lime juice, egg white, rose water, and cubed ice to a blender.
Blend for 10-15 seconds until smooth.
Pour into a lowball glass.
Garnish with strawberry.
