The Spiced Apple Hot Toddy, a cozy autumn take on the classic Hot Toddy, blends apple cider—instead of the original's plain hot water—with a mix of warming baking spices for a comforting seasonal sip.
Base Spirit: Brandy
Method: Stovetop
Serving Size: 4
Add apple cider, brandy, honey, three cinnamon sticks, two star anise, cloves, ginger, bitters, orange, and black peppercorns to a saucepan.
Heat over medium high heat while stirring occasionally for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
Using a ladle and fine mesh strainer, pour the cocktail into six mugs.
Garnish with cinnamon stick and star anise.
