Cocktail History

The Marmalade Gin Mule is a that was created by Craft Gin Club and was first published in their book Gin O'Clock: A Year of Ginspiration. It's a winter-inspired variation of the Gin Mule that's made with just four ingredients: London Dry Gin, lime, ginger beer, and a heaping spoonful of the British breakfast staple orange marmalade.

Tasting Notes

This cocktail has the following flavor profile:

Appearance: Clear icy color

• Aroma: Ginger and botanicals

• Taste: Spicy ginger-forward flavor with strong bittersweet orange marmalade and juniper notes

• Finish: Citrus and more ginger

Kendall’s Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kendall’s Take: "This mule tastes so delicious that it's dangerous! I don't believe I had ever tried orange marmalade before having it in this cocktail and found it to be more bitter than I expected, an attribute that is definitely noticeable even though the ginger beer is so prominent if you know what it tastes like. The Marmalade Gin Mule would be great for sipping when the weather warms up."
