As is implied by its name, the Lumberjack Julep is a fall twist on the classic Mint Julep. Whiskey, mint, and syrup are still used in this version, but spiced maple syrup replaces the usual simple syrup for a cozy seasonal flavor.

Add mint leaves and spiced maple syrup to a julep tin or glass.
Using a muddler, gently muddle mint leaves in spiced maple syrup for 5-7 seconds.
Fill julep tin or glass with crushed ice.
Add bourbon and rye to julep tin or glass.
Using a bar spoon, gently stir for 3-5 seconds.
Pack julep tin or glass with more crushed ice.
Garnish with mint sprig.
