Cocktail History

The Jedi Mind Trick is a Star Wars cocktail that was created at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, an attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida and Anaheim, California. This copycat recipe, based on the ingredients listed on the menu at Oga's Cantina, pairs a citrus and floral-flavored vodka from Ketel One with an interesting combination of white grape juice, tart grapefruit and lime, velvet falernum, and of course, colored curaçao to turn the recipe a bright, lightsaber-inspired hue.

• Finish: Sweet and sour grape

Kendall’s Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

Kendall’s Take: "Given that it’s served to the masses at a Disney theme park, I expected this to be pretty palatable. I don’t think I’ve ever tried white grape juice before and was surprised at how prominent it was in this recipe. I did think it overshadowed the other ingredients a bit, but the grapefruit in the vodka and bitters does dance across your tongue beautifully. If you don’t drink very often and want to make a fun Star Wars drink at home, the Jedi Mind Trick fits the bill."
