The Eauxdvi is a modern cocktail that was created by Alex Sukopp, former bartender of Sips From Scripts, for ODVI, a brand of Armagnac that was made with cocktail lovers in mind. The recipe pairs the French spirit with cinnamon, herbs, citrus, and bitters, and its name was inspired by the ODVI brand itself, which is already a play on words in that it's pronounced "eau-de-vie" like the spirit. It then throws in a twist by exchanging the "O" for "Eaux" as a nod to our town’s signature silent "x" that’s often added to event names, one of which is the Eaux Claires Music Festival.
