The Short Stormtrooper is a Star Wars–inspired cocktail created to honor Luke Skywalker, featuring dragon fruit syrup and mezcal as a tribute to Tatooine’s desert and the legendary Krayt Dragon. Citrus, tropical bitters, soda, and a touch of blue curaçao round out the drink, giving it a color reminiscent of Luke’s hand-me-down lightsaber from A New Hope.

Ingredients
  • 2 fl oz Soda Water
  • 1.5 fl oz Mezcal
  • 0.75 fl oz Lime Juice
  • 0.5 fl oz Blue Curaçao
  • 0.25 fl oz White Dragon Fruit Syrup (Click for Recipe)
  • 2 dashes Toasted Coconut, Pineapple, & Allspice Bitters
  • 1 Orange Peel

    Add mezcal, lime juice, blue curaçao, white dragon fruit syrup, and bitters to a shaker.

    Fill shaker with cubed ice.

    Shake for 10-20 seconds.

    Add fresh cracked ice to a highball glass.

    Using a Hawthorne strainer, strain into highball glass.

    Top with soda water.

    Using a bar spoon, gently stir for 2-3 seconds.

    Garnish with twisted orange peel.
