The Tarkenian Night Flower is a Star Wars cocktail first introduced in Rebel Dawn, a 1998 Legends-era novel by A. C. Crispin featuring Han Solo and Chewbacca. This copycat version, served at Oga’s Cantina, combines gin with huckleberry, elderflower, floral grenadine, lime, and ginger beer, quickly becoming a favorite among park guests.

Ingredients
  • 2 fl oz Ginger Beer (The recipe at Oga’s Cantina uses LAVA Moscow Mule Mix, but I prefer fresh lime juice and ginger beer.)
  • 1 fl oz Gin
  • 0.75 fl oz Huckleberry Syrup
  • 0.5 fl oz Elderflower Liqueur
  • 0.25 fl oz Hibiscus Grenadine (Click for Recipe)
  • 0.25 fl oz Lime Juice
  • 1 Candied Hibiscus Flower

    Add gin, huckleberry syrup, elderflower liqueur, hibiscus grenadine, and lime juice to a shaker.

    Fill shaker with cubed ice.

    Shake for 10-20 seconds.

    Add fresh cracked ice to a lowball glass.

    Using a Hawthorne strainer, strain into lowball glass.

    Top with ginger beer.

    Garnish with candied hibiscus flower.
