Named for a Bruce Springsteen song, the Rosalita takes the classic lime Margarita's iconic mix of tequila, lime, simple syrup, and a salted rim, and it swaps in Amaro Montenegro instead of the usual orange liqueur for added depth.

Ingredients
  • 2 fl oz Tequila Reposado
  • 0.75 fl oz Lime Juice
  • 0.75 fl oz Agave Syrup
  • 0.5 fl oz Amaro Montenegro
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Lime Slice
Method

    Pour salt onto a plate, rub outer rim of a lowball glass with lime rind, and roll rim of glass in salt until coated.

    Add tequila, lime juice, agave syrup, and Amaro Montenegro to a shaker.

    Fill shaker with cubed ice.

    Shake for 10-20 seconds.

    Add fresh cracked ice to salt-rimmed lowball glass.

    Using a Hawthorne strainer, strain into salt-rimmed lowball glass.

    Garnish with lime slice.
