The Mountaintop Meadow is a spring cocktail that was created by Alex Sukopp, former bartender of Sips From Scripts, for an Instagram cocktail challenge. Instead of going the traditional route, he took inspiration directly from posts by his assigned Instagram's profile, many of which featured photos of summer cocktails and scaling mountainsides. In homage to the user's two hobbies, he chose a refreshing mix of vodka, bubbly, fruit, and floral flavors that together taste like the moment you first smell a beautiful mountaintop wildflower field after climbing up a cliff on a warm summer day.
Fill a lowball glass with cubed ice.
Add vodka, elderflower liqueur, simple syrup, and lavender bitters to lowball glass.
Using a bar spoon, gently stir for 5-7 seconds.
Top with sparkling wine.
Garnish with pineapple wedge and mint sprig.
